Sketchnook Privacy Policy

1. Our privacy approach

Sketchnook is designed to work primarily on your device. The application does not require an account or login.

Artpiece does not operate a server that receives your drawings, coloring activity, finished artwork, progress, or application preferences. Sketchnook does not contain advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. From version 1.4.0 it measures how the application is used through Google Analytics for Firebase, as described in section 7; that measurement never includes your drawings, your name, or anything you type.

2. Information stored on your device

Sketchnook stores the following information locally on your device:

• Drawing strokes and coloring choices
• Page and book progress
• Finished artwork and saved artwork versions
• App preferences, including music, drawing sounds, and touch feedback
• Tutorial progress
• Daily reminder preferences
• Local records of books confirmed as owned through Google Play

This information remains within the application's local storage and databases on your device. It is not automatically transmitted to Artpiece.

3. Google Play purchases

Sketchnook uses Google Play to offer one-time purchases of digital sketchbooks and to restore books previously purchased with your Google Play account.

Google Play may process information such as your Google account, payment information, product identifiers, transaction information, device information, and diagnostic information according to Google's own Privacy Policy and terms.

Sketchnook receives product information and purchase or entitlement status from Google Play so that purchased books can be unlocked or restored. Artpiece does not receive or store your complete payment-card information and does not maintain a separate server containing your purchase history.

4. Daily notifications

If you choose to enable the Daily reminder, Sketchnook requests permission to display notifications and schedules a reminder locally on your device.

The reminder does not require Artpiece to receive your location, contacts, or personal information. You can disable it at any time in Sketchnook Settings or Android notification settings.

5. Saving, sharing, and printing

Sketchnook creates an artwork image or printable PDF only when you request it.

When you save, share, or print something, Android allows you to choose its destination. If you send the file to another application, printing service, cloud-storage provider, or person, that recipient may process the file according to its own privacy practices.

Sketchnook does not automatically upload your artwork.

6. Information Sketchnook does not collect

The current version of Sketchnook does not collect or request:

• Your name, postal address, or telephone number
• Precise or approximate location
• Contacts
• Camera or microphone recordings
• Advertising identifiers
• Browsing history
• Health or fitness information
• User-created accounts or passwords

Artpiece does not sell personal information or drawing activity.

7. Usage data

From version 1.4.0, with Usage data on, Sketchnook sends Google Analytics for Firebase which screens open, which pages are drawn and finished, where tracing stops, whether an export worked, and whether a purchase went through, together with a random application instance identifier, the application version, and the device model, operating system version, and country derived from the connection. It never sends a name, an email address, the picture you made, or anything you type, and it does not use the advertising identifier.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Sketchnook asks before sending anything, on the first Home screen; choosing "No thanks" keeps usage data off. Everywhere else it is on until you turn it off. In both cases the switch is in Settings under "Usage data", and turning it off stops sending from that moment.

Google processes this data on Artpiece's behalf under Google's terms; Artpiece uses it only to understand how Sketchnook is used and to improve it. Usage data already sent is kept by Google Analytics for fourteen months and is not deleted by uninstalling the application. To ask for its deletion, write to the contact address below with the approximate date you installed Sketchnook and the model of your device.

8. Contacting Artpiece

If you contact Artpiece by email, we receive your email address and the information included in your message. We use this information only to respond, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or protect our rights.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us, subject to any legal retention requirements.

9. Data security

Local application information is protected by Android's application storage and security mechanisms. Transactions are processed through Google Play.

No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but Artpiece limits data handling by keeping drawing and progress information on the user's device.

10. Retention and deletion

Local drawings, progress, and preferences remain on your device until you delete or replace them, clear Sketchnook's application storage, or uninstall the application.

You can remove all locally stored Sketchnook data through Android Settings > Apps > Sketchnook > Storage & cache > Clear storage.

Files that you previously saved or shared must be deleted from the destination where you placed them. Because Artpiece does not receive your locally stored drawings or progress, Artpiece cannot remotely view or delete that information.

Google Play may retain purchase records so that purchases can be restored. Those records are controlled by Google and your Google account. Sketchnook does not create user accounts, so there is no separate Sketchnook account to delete.

Usage data that was already sent (section 7) is retained by Google Analytics for fourteen months. Clearing storage or uninstalling stops further sending but does not remove what was sent; a deletion request by email does.

11. Children and families

Sketchnook does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The application does not contain public profiles, chat, behavioral advertising, or social feeds.

Saving or sharing artwork requires a deliberate user action through Android. Parents and guardians should supervise a child's use of external sharing services and purchases. Google Play purchases may also be controlled using Google Play parental and purchase-authentication settings.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Sketchnook's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be published at this location with a revised effective date.
